Maybe you’ve heard. Maybe you haven’t. Maybe you are wondering: Did Aetna extend the payment deadline for health insurance premiums that start on February 1, 2016? The answer to this question is YES.
For those of you who enrolled in a health insurance plan beginning on February 1, 2016 through Aetna, we have an important message for you: They have extended the payment deadline until February 12.
Most of the time, you need to pay your premium by the last day of the month prior to the coming month. If you fail to pay your premium, then you will lose your health insurance coverage. So this is an exception. If you have an Aetna plan then you can still pay for your plan until this Friday. If you have questions about how to pay your premium or if you are with another insurance carrier and are wondering if they have also extended the deadline, then you can contact our office at 801-718-0051.
