What are qualifying events? How long do I have after a qualifying event to sign up for coverage?
Outside of open enrollment you have to have a qualifying event to sign up for insurance. Your qualifying event has to have been within the last 60 days. Qualifying events include:
Birth of Child
Adoption
Divorce
Death
Moving outside of insurance coverage
Losing insurance
